Last Friday, we were fortunate enough to be nominated and invited to the 2017 People.Environment.Achievement. (P.E.A.) Awards that celebrates individuals, teams – and even a family – who are pioneering sustainable initiatives in the UK and beyond. The event was themed Day of the Dead, complete with a makeup artist on site who made sure attendees fit the theme. We of course asked for some fishbones (duh).
We were even MORE fortunate to actually WIN the Food category award, being up against two very awesome contenders: Olio, a food sharing app; and Toast Ale, who make craft beer brewed with surplus fresh bread — definitely check them out!
There were some other really great people and organisations in the room from various different categories, everything from Arts to Travel to Money! You can see the full list of interesting nominees here.

delicious vegetarian 3 course meal was served (Mexican themed, obviously), organic gin was poured, and even the awards were designed by an ethical jeweller (bejewelled skulls, …obviously).
The P.E.A. Awards really walk the talk and we feel honoured to be included in their esteemed list of those who are fighting to end the forces that are driving extinction. Thank you for this award! We hope to continue to make you proud.
