Jasmine is a PhD student with an interest in understanding animal systems and behaviours in order to tackle environmental problems. She has worked with a range of species including genetically modified insects, birds and badgers! Some of her research includes working to improve a biological pesticide through the understanding of insect physiology, and more recently, colour analyses of seabird eggs to understand why they vary so much in morphology. The latter involved exploring how non-human species may perceive colour. All of this has led to her current role at SNTech– researching the visual systems of fish in order to validate and optimise our LED technology.
